Don't forget to add "MAKE A DONATION" to your New Year's resolution! • The rewrite and publication of the revised Level 1 CLSA textbook was a huge team effort. The Level 2 textbook is almost complete and should be available this spring. • Over 60 CE courses on contact lens related topics now reside on the EyeCare CE website. Many thanks to Past-President, Carri Russell and staff member Bobbi Hahn, for months of work with the software designers to update the format for each and every topic. More courses are needed, so start writing! • Membership committee chairman, Rachel Behdadnia, has her team focused on communications to showcase CLSA membership benefits to new NCLE certificants, Optical school graduates, Ophthalmology Technicians, Optometry and Para- optometric staff. Finding one new member should be everyone's 2017 resolution! • Our Board of Directors have made many difficult decisions and have stayed focused on moving our organization ahead into a new era. Special thanks to Val Shellman, Bernie Stewart, Trudy Grout and Don Dixon for their years of service as Board members. • The year ends with CLSA in a much improved financial position thanks to the hard work of our many volunteers who keep committees going, monitor CE programs, administer the Fellow exam, travel to school programs, teach classes, write Eyewitness articles and represent the very best of CLSA. • Our management team leaders, Lynn Anderson and Wade Delk, push us to think outside of the traditional box and have brought us a new job board for recruiting CLSA members, new publishers for Eyewitness, regular accounting reviews and new membership growth options. Of course, nothing would ever get accomplished without the extraordinary efforts of our Program Manager, Bobbi Hahn. In the end, retirement of long term members, job changes for many of us, and the unexpected loss of one of CLSA's biggest supporters, John Parrelli, all serve to remind us that life moves on at its own pace and that our list of "things to do later" needs immediate attention. Reflection is good but now let's all move into action and make CLSA our legacy. From the President Stepping Up 2 CLSA EyeWitness Winter 2017 CLSA is dedicated to the education, promotion and advancement of the contact lens profession.
