CLSA spans opticianry, optometry, ophthalmology, and industry—the only educational organization of its kind. Through this campaign, we celebrate this unique and powerful network of contact lens professionals. I AM CLSA… I am John Gelles, OD. My clinic specializes in corneal disease and refractive surgery and my work is focused on specialty contact lenses, corneal disease, and surgical co-management. My Passion is to aid individuals affected by complex corneal and ocular surface diseases through the utilization of advanced contact lenses as part of the comprehensive disease management. I am proud to be a Fellow of CLSA, because earning the FCLSA is a way to demonstrate mastery of contact lens fitting and has connected me with a vast network of well qualified contact lens professionals. John Gelles graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is the director of the specialty contact lens division at e Cornea and Laser Institute and CLEI Center for Keratoconus in Teaneck, NJ. I AM CLSA… I am Wendy Ford, FCLSA, COMT. After 15 years working with an ophthalmologist and with contact lenses, I finally found other professionals with similar passions towards contact lenses. rough my association and membership with CLSA, I have learned from some of the best educators in the contact lens industry—educators who have encouraged me, mentored me, and pushed me forward toward my career goals. As the President-Elect of CLSA I look forward to leading alongside this great group of focused, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable individuals. Wendy Ford works at Eye Consultants of Northern Virginia, PC in Spring field, VA. I AM CLSA… I am Kemberly Gallagher. In 1990 I began working in a small optometry office. Little did I know it would turn into a love of the eye and a very fulfilling career. I realized about 10 years ago that my passion was working with contact lenses. I learned about CLSA through a product specialist for a CL company that I was working with and quickly joined. What changed my life about CLSA was and is the education and mentorship that goes along with membership. It has been instrumental in my pursuit of more education, certifications, and better jobs. Not to mention the friendships that I have made within the society and connections within the industry. To me CLSA means a community and family of CL professionals who mentor me, inspire me, and have become dear friends. Kemberly Gallagher works with SynergEyes a contact lens company that specializes in hybrid, corneal GP, and scleral specialty contact lenses. I AM CLSA… I am Amy Fens, FCLSA. Being a part of CLSA is having a relationship with amazing professionals whom have a wealth of knowledge, and a contagious passion for helping people see one contact lens at a time. Also always having someone in your court that you can talk with to help you out with your most difficult patient. Amy D. Fens is a contact lens specialist at Hanover Family Eyecare in Mechanicsville, VA..
